I grew up 3 miles from Busch Gardens, Van
Nuys. I remember the monorail brewery tour, the Sky Trolley, the
boat ride, the fun house, and the log ride. When the park became
Busch Bird Sanctuary I still enjoyed the monorail, but being a kid meant I
was more excited about a trip to Magic
Mountain. Nevertheless, I can remember my friends and me riding
our bikes through the old parking lot and also trying to spot dismantled
monorail cars after the park's demise (one was parked on a segment of
monorail track attached to the brewery for a long time.) |
